LiveUpdate is slow

For the last two days LiveUpdate has been slow. I just ran LiveUpdate and it took 4 minutes to tell me there are no updates.

NIS 2012 latest version.

Re: LiveUpdate is slow

Not sure what's happening

I'm not experiencing any slowdown problems with life update.

May be a location specific issue with traffic or hardware maintenance.

Re: LiveUpdate is slow

I'm experiencing major slowdown with live update. It takes almost 5 minutes for me to get an update when I run one manually. And as of this posting it says my last update was an hour ago, which is very unusual.

Should I just my computer down until there is a fix or is it still ok to leave the internet on?

Hi,

I'm not sure what's going on, or off, but I just ran a manual live update. Took just over ten seconds to complete the three step process and give me a green flag. If I guess I'd have to say that the problem is location dependent.

An hour delay in getting updates shouldn't be cause for a shut down. I'd try to avoid any sites that I suspect might be harmful to the health of my computer until I saw an improvement in the updating process.

Hope this helps

Re: LiveUpdate is slow

Seems to be better now.

I generally run liveupdate manually until there are no updates.

Hi,

Glad to read there has been an improvement.

Good practice. Just remember to do the reboots immediately after the update that caused the message to display. Getting things out of order can be a real hair pulled, for those of you with hair. :smileyhappy:
