NIS 19.1 Windows 7 64 Action Center

Since I upgraded NIS to 19.1 the Windows Action Center does not recognize my computer as having spyware and unwanted software protection, virus protection, and network firewall installed. I know I could just turn these off, but I liked these to be turned on. My subscription status is valid.

Run liveupdate to get the latest patch and then restart the pc. If it doesn't work, try restarting again.

Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed this issue.

Re: NIS 19.1 Windows 7 64 Action Center

It was fine until I rebooted after the reinstall. It's back again. Note this is with version 19.1.1.3. I didn't have this issue with 19.1.0.28.

Exact same problem here, activity center repors no antivirus antimalware or firewall installed on Win7 64bit even though NIS 2012 appears to be working perfectly. This problem appeared after NIS updated itself to 19.1.1.13

I am using the Spanish version either of Windows and of NIS.

I will wait until Monday and contact live support, hopefully they wil be able to help (guess support does not work on a Saturday at 3AM :smileytongue:)

Cheers!

UPDATE: After removing the current install using Norton Removal Tool and reinstalling from scratch everything appears to be fine. Fingers crossed!

It looks like using the Norton Removal Tool worked for me as well.

Re: NIS 19.1 Windows 7 64 Action Center

As an aside, do not simply run the removal tool without the traditional uninstallation via add/remove or start menu. That is because simply running the removal tool will leave quite a lot of files and registry settings behind. Therefore, I recommend uninstalling the product first via add/remove and THEN running the removal tool.
