NIS 19.2 Get Support GUI lack

untitled.PNG

in the center of the window we can see something like progress bar. it have 1-pixel border. all sides exept right side: look on the yellow background.

Why Cancel is so small and as link, not as bis yellow button?

Hi Niko233:

Nothing is critically wrong here. It is just a inconsistency, if you will, in GUI design.

I tend to agree with you on this and it can be easily fixed.

If a Symantec employee does not respond here in a reasonable amount of time, I would post this concern in the following thread...

Hi Niko233,

This is by design.  We don't need  to cancel the autofix until it completes, because this is critical. Autofix  will find errors and will fix automatically.

This is not inconsistent behavior. I got the same screenshot

Hope this helps

Thanks,

Re: NIS 19.2 Get Support GUI lack

Hi Senthil:

I think that Nikko223 is talking about the unfinished edge on the right hand side

of the progress indicator.

The behavior of the window is just fine.

It is up to the developer to design the look and feel of the GUI.

Being that the pixel border is not around each side gives it an

"unfinished" look.

Why Cancel is so small and as link, not as (the) big yellow button?

A little more graphic consistency from window to window - product enhancement?

Hi Atomic_Blast / Nikko223,

Thanks for letting us know. It looks like right side edge does not have border line. We will look into the issue.

I have attached screenshot for reference.

Thanks,

Senthil.

Re: NIS 19.2 Get Support GUI lack

Atomic Blast is right, thank you.

In my first message I talk about 2 things:

1) "unfinished" border of "progress bar" (it is not rectangle - right side line (1 pixel width) is absent) - have no answer from developers for now.

2) design of cancel button - have fully-detailed info, thanks!

Re: NIS 19.2 Get Support GUI lack

Hi.

One more thing...

All the small Cancel links (also in the above image) should be changed to look like this, according to Niko233:

Guess these small GUI details do matter. Keep the same look and feel throughout the product lineup.

Cheers!

Atomic_Blast :)

P.S. Niko233 - I like details, too! :smileylol:

Re: NIS 19.2 Get Support GUI lack

Thanks for your cooperation work in the datail submit. Yes, you are fully right your latest message is all I want to do with Clancel link - to replace it with often big yellow button. BUT...

Staff is answer already on this one question. fully and explained logics of that - why to use link, not big button. I like that explain. Now I see that link is more effective than big button - to not disturb Norton to autofix often errors it made... good.

What do you think about it, Atomic?

to continie GLOBAL topic theme, I will say out of this topic:

LiveUpdate is most critical operation to do also

Suggestion: Give LU cancel function as small link! not as the big contrast button as is for now.

What do you think senthilkumar, Atomic?
