Thought it would work with Vista when I bought NIS 2009 but from what I,ve read/experienced myself it doesnot yet and the problem/bug exists already for some time e.g Months.....
A Pop up just like when sending email but when I Receive an Email the Pop Up isnot visible when I receive Email(s) is that correct ?
Noticing that the incoming mail is scanned isnot there either, When I check in my History I do see that the email is checked for Spam but I donot see in the history that the Email is scanned for Virusses ?
Are the emails scanned for Virusses ?
Also not having The Possibility to Mark an email in your Inbox as Spam and/or Not Spam ! ,with the workaround you cannot "mark" Spam as being NOT spam/Not Spam etc. when it falsy marks an email as Spam ?
Will this be fixed with the update 16.5 which I havenot received yet by the way ,Do think there are MANY users of Windows Mail with Vista ?
Noticed a subject in wich I have replied was moved to a new post for better exposure
but when I clicked the link it didnot was about this subject was about not being able to send /receive emails and thats No problem for me ,so for better exposure opened another,Ty

Hi KidRock,
When the email gets downloaded to your computer through your email client, the Auto-Protect component as well as the Incoming Email Scan component scans throughly that email from the background. As Auto-Protect runs in the AutoProtect, it protects your system by scanning files for viruses, Trojan horses, and worms. Auto-Protect scans all files that are received from any source, such as the Internet, removable disks, or email attachments. It scans files for threats any time that the files are accessed, such as when they are copied, moved, run, or opened. It also intercepts any run, open, or create activity and scans the file before allowing the action to continue. These scans are transparent to the user and have little, if any, noticeable effect on system performance. If Auto-Protect detects a virus, then you are prompted to repair the file. If email scan detects any threats, it will block the access. The current version as well as earlier versions of Norton programs didn't had any logs for the email scans - how many emails are scanned. The email scan will be logged in History only if it blocks any content from the emails that you received.

Hello Yogesh,
Ty for taking the time to reply, appriciated and glad to know the emails are getting scanned and to know there are NO logs for the email scans in the History,
Now I hope for a solution for Windows Mail being compatable with NIS 2009 ,lets hope the Update 16.5 will fix it ! ,As its really frustating to do every time manually despite the workaround working but that isnot the solution as everytime still have to check the incorrect spam and cant mark them as Not spam etc.. No toolbar
