Hi everyone-
Please be advised that when the IE server certificate revocation setting is unchecked, then Norton Antiphishing won't be able to confirm certain websites are Norton Authenticated (when browsing with IE). It will not hinder the ability to detect phishing sites.
Thanks,

The tweak is no longer working on the XP machine and only manual live updates on Vista. I know there are updates as I can seen them coming in on the vista box but XP reports "no updates found". Have checked the setting in IE and have tried changing to and back again followed by a reboot and no joy.
Any idea when "the fix" is coming through I have got a couple of machines to build soon and I am at the point whether to install an earlier NIS.
Appreciate all the help and suggestions..

Ok latest update XP is working fine...Vista work fine when connected at home over wireless and broadband. However vista will only work with manual live updates during the day when I am using a 3G modem.
Anyone know of any reasons why the pulse updates may not be firing when working over 3G?

Ok so I now have 5 pcs (not all mine) running IS 2009 (version .25)
I have a standard tower pc with XP SP3
New EEE Box with XP SP3
New NC 10 netbook with XP SP3
a Vaio with Vista
a smaller vaio with XP SP3
The only one that is presently working is the EEE Box. The only 2 things that are not installed on this that are on the others is WinPatrol, and Google Chrome.
All of the others do not receive pulse updates and only the vista box will retreive updates if I tell it (and thats only when its on wireless if I do it over 3G it ignores it - go figure !!?)
None of the devices have yet received the .33 update. I agree with a number of the other streams any way that you can simply publish a download of .33. As I am hoping this cures all of the above.

Jon

Hmm... the NC10 device just got upgraded to .33 (about 20 seconds after my last post) and everything seems to be working.
None of the other devices are yet to receive the update. Will keep updated.

Hello JohnP,
Its important to note that when you're running on Battery Power, Pulse Updates will be shut off to conserve battery power. Is this the issue you are seeing?

Nope on mains power, but thats a very useful thing to know thanks Tim.
The NC10 still looks good this morning so the .33 version looks like it fixes whatever problem I have.
Would love to know what method for deployment of patches Norton uses considering I have 5 devices in two geographic locations on two different licences and as of yet have had only one update?
