Running version 16.5.0.135 on Windows 7 RTM.

When I click on settings, whether it be for Computer or Internet, it takes 5 minutes or more before the settings are displayed.

Is this normal? Is there a reason that this takes so long? Is this another Win 7 incompatibility?

The 16.5.0.135 version was not designed to be compatible with WIN 7.  I'm not entirely certain if the new version  16.7.2.10 is still available for download at this site.

You will need to use the Norton removal tool to remove your present version, and a reboot.

If you develop Symantec framework errors return for the hotfix.

As delphinium points out, 16.5.0.134/5 is Not Compatible with Windows 7; therefore, please install the N.I.S. 2010 Beta until a Compatible Version of N.I.S. 2009 is Released, or N.I.S. 2010 is out of Beta.  Thank-you.

I'll wait for a patch - I still have 3 months to go on my subscription and have no intention of ditching NIS 2009 for 2010 before then.
