Thanks for that explanation which I can confirm since I use FUS.
I was the only person logged in when I read your message so I checked Task Manager and it showed two instances.
I FUS'd to the other user and then back to me without logging that one off and it now shows 3 instances -- BTW you have to check the box at the bottom for Show all Users.
I have screen shots if needed but it will take a while to put them in my gallery and get them OK'd for posting here.
Even when there is only a single user Administrator in use, is there not always a Guest user which one can set to show or not show in Control Panel?

The number of User accounts set up on a system is not relevant - it is the number of logged on users that counts.
I think there is a Users tab in Task Manager which shows how many there are - it is there in mine.

It would seem that Tariq is the only user of his system, also acting as Administrator, which makes sense.
Now, if you don't use FUS or the Add-On Pack, there would only be two instances of that process, correct?
That is, in the context of his question.

The other case where other instances would occur, which is related to fast user switching, is remote desktop / terminal services logins. Assuming that there are no remote desktop connections and fast user switching isn't used, you are correct that there should be only two instances of ccSvcHst running. Since Tim mentioned it, the Add-On pack might add another instance but I'm not aware of it.
