Hi
I just upgraded to Windows 7 and everything went fine a restart was required so I restarted. Then I noticed that the NIS gadget from Windows Sidebar had disappeared, any way I can get the gadget back without re-installing NIS2010?

Hi ShinOrochiX,
We have had other posters who are missing their Norton gadget in Windows 7; please try out Wikipedian's solution over here:
http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?b
If this step doesn't work, then I am afraid to say that there is currently no solution, and the gadget continues missing even after reinstalling NIS (in Windows 7); please check this (unresolved) thread for more information:

Am I the only one with Win7 X64 not affected by the missing gadget?

Hi,
The solution in the other posts did not work. Lets just hope that Symantec/Norton develop a fix for this, meanwhile I'll just have to stay with out the gadget. Thanks for the help anyway.

Hi ShinOrochiX,
Sorry to know that the Gadget isn't working.
Can you please let us know if you have any other gadgets installed. Also, can you check in the gadget gallery to see if you are able to launch it.
Thanks,

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. These are the gadgets I have installed that currently work:
Clock 1.0.0.0
Weather 1.1.0.0
Slideshow 1.0.0.0
These are the ones that don't work after the upgrade to Windows 7:
Norton Gadget
TuneUp Utilities Gadget
When I open up the Gadget Gallery there is no Norton or TuneUp Gadget for me to add.
When I checked my C:\Program Files\WindowsSidebar\Gadgets folder there is no Norton or TuneUp Gadget there, I also checked the Shared Gadgets folder and that was empty.

ShinOrochiX,
Looks like your gadget is lost while upgrading from vista to Win7. Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the product?
