I went to download and install NIS 2010 and then clicked RESTART and then Stupid Norton crashed my computer and would not reload Windows Vista!!!!!!!!!!  why can't symantec get anything right?????????

Very frustrated,,, i had to hold the Off button on computer to turn off computer. then after turn it back on i get message saying computer unable to start click start to find problems then get a pop up to Restore so i did, and now everything seems messed up because of your stupid software!!!!!!!!!!!!  and wouldnt load the previous version 2009 so downloaded the Norton removal tool, and this is far as i gotton soo far thought i would post my dislike!!! 

why doesnt it automatically remove old version before installing new version???????????? most softwares automatically remove old version before installing new version!!!  

Hope someone over there gets smart and fixes this!!!!

i went to try to download and install NIS2010 again now says i already have the latest version installed on this computer??????????????

I HAVE NO VERSION OF NIS INSTALLED ON THIS COMPUTER AT THIS MOMENT FOR OBVIOUSLY REASONS!!!! 

HOW DO I GET NIS INSTALLED????????????????????????????????????????

Hello Eraserone,

I think you have upgraded from NIS 2009 to NIS 2010, well i also upgraded on one of my system and it workedperfectly without unistalling NIS 2009, after a reebot i was welcomed by NIS 2010...

 And also please run Norton removal tool..and than try to install..

I already did the norton removal tool,, but when i go back to download NIS it keeps saying already installed on my computer i dont get it!!!!!!

i was able to download the NIS downloader  but then says Norton download manager Automatic installation cannot conntinue.Click open browser for instructions on how to complete installation manually.

Which i did and says

Your Norton Beta installer has failed

I DID NOT DOWNLOAD THE BETA VERSION WHICH NIS 2010 SHOULD BE FINAL RELEASE...

WHY CAN'T I DOWNLOAD nis??

someone please give me a link to reinstall NIS2009 please? forget nis 2010..

And select NIS, it still has 2009, use it before symantec replaces with 2010.

Maybe you should try 2010 again. The majority of people has 2010 working nicely

Anyways, I think NIS 2010 seriously hate you for lying to us about "something". You just want this post to make everyone falsely alarmed or something. I am sorry if this was false accusation, but it was really tempting.

2010 products can't be removed via norton removal tools.

So try uninstalling from control panel.

If nothing happens, use ccleaner to remove all entries of norton, remove it from c:/program data and also from c:/prog files/common file/shared symantec

Then install it again.

Will i finally found where to download NIS 2009 and got it finally installed again..!!!!  not attempting NIS 2010 again!! ridicilous maybe 2011 will work maybe??????????????
