Attention Norton TechGuys: Norton not catching new program

Can a Norton guy investigate this bug?

Reopening this issue.  Does the 17.1 patch fixes this issue?

NIS 2010 (17.1.0.19) fixed programs installation that shows in System Insights????

Glad to see the new version of NIS 2010 (17.1.0.19) is available.

I am not too sure if there is a fix regarding the System INSIGHT.

I remembered when I installed programs,  System Insights will "capture" those programs installation and make a "mark" it corresponding to the dates installation

However, for some reasons System Insights has now FAILED to capture programs installation.

I am not too sure if this version has a fix to it in this problem.

Thank you

I reported this a while ago and never heard anything about it.  NIS 2010 seems to log installations (and sometimes downloads) haphazardly.  The last installation NIS 2010 logged for me was the October Windows updates.

Yeah....perhaps this is a LEAST critical bug, so it is "swept under the carpet:.  Mine last log as in August.

I think this is not fixed yet,,,,did not read it in the change log.

Maybe Symantec will fix it in NIS2011.

I guess Symantec guys has forgotten to patch this bug on this version updates...I feel that they may have forgotten about it....actually there is another issue with OPTIMIZER in NIS2010...but that is matter that will surely be discuss later.

Re: Attention Norton TechGuys: Norton not catching new program

I've JUST gotten the 17.1.0.19 update but unfortunately, I have already installed the Microsoft Update earlier in the day.
