Hello,
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue.
A few weeks before my NIS 2010 subsription was about to expire I went online and renewed it for another year. I checked and NIS shows that I have 365 days left of subsription service. I also went online and checked and "My Nortons" shows that my subscription is up to date.
A couple of weeks ago I got an email stating that my subscription had expired and that I had to renew it. I checked again...NIS shows that I have 350 days left, and I was able to update the lated virus definitions. I also checked "My Nortons" and it shows that my subscription is up to date.
Today (4 weeks after I renewed) I got another reminder email:
'You need to be aware that your subscription to Norton™ Internet Security has expired. "
I checked again....NIS shows 340 days of protection...and "My Nortons" shows:
Product Name: Norton Internet Security
Expiration Date: Oct 31, 2012
Registration Date: Oct 10, 2010
Can I ignore the reminder emails....or have I missed something?
Thanks....

Hi ronwel:
Welcome to the Norton community.
Does your subscription status on your main NIS window match the days remaining when you log into your Norton Account? If not, try selecting Support | Subscription Status and see if that synchs the subscription on your local computer with your account on the Symantec servers.
In rare cases, the subscription doesn't synch properly if the date and/or time on your PC is wrong, so right-click on the time in your system tray (Windows taskbar) and select Adjust Date/Time to confirm this setting is correct.
If that doesn't help I'd suggest contacting Symantec Customer Support directly - you'll get the fastest response with the Live Chat option here - and see if they can straighten this out for you.

Hi,
Yes...both show the same days remaining. I tried re-syncing as well, as the main screen of NIS did not immediately show an updated days remaining. Once I synced...the days remaining was corrected to 365.

Hi,
In your Norton Account is there any other Norton Internet Security listed under Products tab( which is already expired )?

No...the only product listed is NIS 2010. Only one entry...with the correct serial number.
