I have NIS 2010 (1 yr, 3 pc) installed and running fine on Win 7 and XP machines. My current license expires in in about 30 days.
I also have a new, unused but different license code, NIS 2010 in a factory box. I want to use the new NIS license code to update my soon to expire NIS.
What is the easiest way to do this? I don't want to delete and re-install unless I must.
Thanks,
S.

HI Fungus
You don't have to uninstall/reinstall, just leave it as it is. Wait until the day before your current subscription will expire and then use the new key. Using a new key will lose any days you have remaining so do ensure you leave using it until the last day..

In addition to what mdturner has said, you can look at this post for instructions on how to type in your new product key for renewal:
Do not let your current subscription expire altogether as Norton will deactivate itself completely in that case.

Thanks to all of you for the information. I'll wait until my remaining days are almost gone then I'll enter the new license key.
