This is something I want too, currently the anti-spam add-on on Vista is a rudderless ship which can not be controlled if you use Windows Mail. You can not tell it additional stuff that should be classed as SPAM and conversly you can not tell it it mis-identified something as SPAM. As a result, I have had to turn it off.

Whilst the 2009 product is a vast improvement on 2008 this lack of proper anti-SPAM support on Vista, which for someone who on average receives 150 SPAMs a day is the most important feature of Norton Internet Security, is probably going to result in my not renewing my NIS 2009 when it expires in three weeks and my moving to a competitive product after almost ten years using Norton. I hope this is corrected for NIS 2010.

my cousin said that he dint use norton and used avg because there is a " Link scanner " in avg....you might want to inclue that.

If you mean to make sure Web Links are not leading to a Fake Web Site: symantec has this for N.I.S. 2009; it is called Norton Safe Web, currently in Beta, so I would wait until it is Released to the public before going ahead and Downloading and Installing as it may cause problems with your computer.

Well.. I already know it and use UAC tool, but I was very surprised when I heard about it, because, when I wrote this post, I had not idea if Symantec is already working on it :)

what i mean is ....something like theres a link...you can scan it to see if there is driveby downloads into your computer....something to ensure that the site is virus free....and if the link scanner detects virus...it will warn you..something like that.

Remove the browser toolbar and just put the stuff down in the status bar. The Norton toolbar takes up unnecessary screen space. You know, do it like how McAffee did it with Siteadvisor?

I really believe that NIS2010 should have the same feature set as 2009. What you really need to focus on is detection. Several working keygens and cracks slipped through Norton, including a crack for Norton itself! On virustotal I scanned the crack for Norton several weeks ago. I think that 2/32 scanners caught it and labeled as suspicious. Now, I scan on virustotal and 10/32 scanners have flagged it, not including Symantec!

What is going on!?!

And after I verified that they were working, I uninstalled/deleted the cracks/keygens and the programs that they cracked, because I do not want to conduct any illegal activies. Those cracks/keygens were submitted to Symantec Security Response for futher anylysis. And yes, I have brought a NIS09 key and removed the crack.
