Hi, I had a crash caused by IMO a sticky site on IE
I rebooted and got a Norton error warning of 3043.1 in the intrusion module
when I asked for a fix it then told me I had a 3040.10011
I understand the easiest way of resolving this is to uninstall and re-install from the disc
but the disc is with the laptop in spain for the next couple of weeks.
how can I do a re-install without the cd (I have the product key noted here in uk)

Hi Dominosafety,
Welcome to the forum. In your case, I think you should be able to re-install your NIS 2011 by first downloading the NIS 2011 installation file to your desktop and then by double-clicking on that file when you are ready to re-install. (You have to uninstall your current NIS 2011 first, however.) Be sure you have your Product Key available during the re-installation phase.
The link for downloading the NIS 2011 installation file is:

Hello dominosafety
You can follow the instructions in this kb for a tool which will uninstall your NIS 2011 and reinstall it with the newest version.
Thanks.
Please come back and let us know how it works. It will be ok for UK also since you use the English language..
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.
