So glad I found this forum and checked all the messages before I got "technical" with my PC. My AS is disabled waiting for the fix so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled...

In the meanwhile, those of you who tested the fix should revert to your original DLL file so that future updates do not fail.
Hey Tim,
With reverting back to the old DLL and turning off AS until the update is released to production...can you post here when it's going out so we know we should keep an eye on it in order to turn our AS back on?
Thanks

The fix will be in one of the next patches.
Thank you,

Vic,
Thanks for the update. Will this include the ribbon error as well?

One of those days...I'll leave my stupidity at that. I mean I tested the DLL.
It wasn't clicking that the ribbon in the calendar was probably the same as when using mail.

Yes, the fix will include both types of CustomUI errors discussed above: the small error dialog and the large error dialog with the line number. It will fix the error in all types of Outlook windows it has been seen on both Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2007.

As a work around for now, please disable Outlook option "Show add-in user interface errors".
Here is how to find this option (all steps including menus, tabs and buttons are listed in a single sequence):
Outlook 2010: Menu File | Options | Advanced.
Outlook 2007: Menu Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options.
Remember that the functionality of Norton AntiSpam is not affected by this problem.

Victor

Victor_K, thanks for that temporary quick fix. It worked hiding the error message.
I have the same error message after installing NIS 2011 on my PC with Outlook 2007. I hope that Norton will distribute a patch shortly.
