I got the same problem. Had NIS 2010 and uTorrent and absolutely no problems. Upgraded to NIS 2011 and uTorrent lags my machine so bad I cant use it :(
What changed between NIS 2010 and 2011 that might cause this, and can we turn it off?

Btw if I throttle the torrents a lot (going down to 0,25 MB/s) everything goes back to normal.

Hi Froman,
I would like to ask whether, the CPU usage increases while the Torrent is still being downloaded or when the download is complete and the hash file completes its process of combining all the packages to one.
And for how long does your CPU usage be at 60%?
Cheers!

All time while utorrent is download something 2 of 4 CPU core is used for 100%, when download is complete CPU usage is still too high, but around 10-15%.
I repeat - with NIS10 I ahd no any problems.
Maybe I should made downgrae to NIS 2010?
In parallel topic oyu tell: "try disabling the Smart Firewall" - it is does not matter for my computer....
Thanks for an answer.
