Is it possible to register my copy of NIS 2011 on a new computer, using a product key originally activated on another computer? I had to replace my old comp, and I still have a few months left until my activation expires. When I tried to do this I received the error message "unable to activate. you have exceeded the number of allowable installations"

Please contact Customer Service Chat and explain the situation. They will be able to assist you with the activation.

You can uninstall NIS 2011 from your old computer, then install it on the new one and enter the serial number. As long as the serial isn't in use by two machines, you should be fine. I had to do the same thing a few months back.

Combining what both have said but adding that even if you don't still have access to the old computer you can get Customer Support to liberate your activation for use on the new PC. Users recommend OnLine CHAT as quick and painless ....

Hello petem
Before you attempt to install NIS 2011 on your new computer, please make sure that it doesn't have another preinstalled security program in it. If it does, you will have to remove it first using the control panel method and reboot and then use the removal tool from the other company and reboot again. Thanks.
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.
