Hi, an automatic subscription renewed by version of NIS 2011 last week.  It showed as having 375 days left but still said RENEW next to it.  So I selected Subscription status from the menu and synced with the server but it still said RENEW.  As the amount of days remaining were correct I ignored it.

Now, today, it shows as 365 days remaining (ie the previous year has ended) and Windows (XP PRO SP3) has gone all red telling me I have no Firewall or Anti-virus installed.  It seems like it thinks the current version has stayed as it is without being updated.

What am I missing as I thought syncing with the server was the answer?

The renew option is always there so that is nothing to worry about. I assume that you mean the Windows Security Centre is saying there is no AV or Firewall installed - try a reboot of your system and that should clear it.

Thanks, I never noticed the "renew" button before!!!!!!!!!!

Switched on this morning and low and behold, no issues with Windows security centre and no red warning icons!  Me getting 5 from 2 and 2 again!!  Cheers
