Hi ryan816
I have not seen an official statement from Symantec on the issue but I am fairly confident there that all should be OK and, if there are any issues, they will be quickly dealt with. Normally there isn't anything official said until something like this goes to RTM status and is on full public release.

Hi ryan816,
Speaking in general, it is probably advisable to wait a week or two before installing the latest OS Service Pack. There are invariably some hiccups (XP SP3 initially had some issues with AMD processors), so the prudent thing to do is to allow a little bit of time to see what, if any, issues might arise before jumping on the bandwagon.

According to Microsoft's blog today it is trickling out to OEM and technical people and ....<< On February 22nd, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 will become generally available for folks to download via the Microsoft Download Center and available on Windows Update. >>
