Though I agree with your suggestion about either removing this or better yet providing an option the user can check to get rid of this list, I don't really agree that it is bad for everyone.

I don't like it myself either but I can certainly see that some users might find this frequently visited URL list as kind of nice. I worked in the Service industry for over 15 years before crossing over into Software Engineering and I learned in that time and can assure you that some would find this "feature" useful.

In fact I'm going to do some searching around because this vaguely rings a bell that this might have been "requested" at some point. I can't swear to that but it is striking a chord in my mind that this has been talked about before.

I'll let you know if I find what I'm looking for.

The MRU listing is totally unecessary in my view. As paradiseduck says, it is redundant. Additionally, part of the very essence of the Identity Safe is the feeling of safety and privacy that it provides via the log in folder option rather than this new MRU list that, as others have said, is wide open for anyone to view. Sure, in previous versions without it someone could always dig around if you were logged into Identity Safe, but this new list means they don't even have to and is quite a different matter.

Also, I don't need to be reminded of which sites I log in to - I know which ones they are because I log in to them. Personally, I have never felt the need for a feature such as the MRU and now it's there  find its jumble of log ins unsatisfactory and I would like the option to be able to disable it.

In contrast to my happy use of previous versions, the MRU list detracts from my experience of Identity Safe each and every day.

I agree...I am not an expert coder, but I do write some and I know that it wouldn't take squat to make the MRU list optional (probably easier to remove it altogether). Symantec has done an excellent job with its NIS products since 2009; the MRU is a minor BUT A VERY REAL NUISANCE in an otherwise nicely developed application.

Boy ... Am I glad I found this thread.  I thought I was going crazy with the MRU SHOWING the user name.  And even the whole concept of the MRU is driving me nuts.  I'm setting up my new HP and I was importing my list from my older HP and I see the user name in ( ).  I kept deleting, changing, adding, and starting over with logins.  I wasted hours trying to figure it out.  ESPECIALLY since my old HP has 360 on it and it DOESN'T work that way ... my new HP does which has NIS ... not 360.  Soooo ... Norton isn't even consistent with products.  360 is STILL the old way (unless they screw that up too).  Please Norton ... at least make the MRU an option ... or get rid of it all together, thanks.

I just started a whole new post about this before seeing this one :(

I do like this new list but as the OP stated, I do not like my login id there. If there was an option to remove the login id then this feature would actually be welcome.

Why can't they just take the Identity Safe code from NIS 2011 and paste it into 2012.  I have reinstalled 2011 on two computers - one of mine and the other my neighbors.  Identity safe 2012 used on two other computers still doesn't fill in correctly on two banking sites I use regularly.  I don't think they are going to fix it.  The 2011 verision works perfectly.  Also, the Explorer hangs I was experiencing with 2012 have stopped since reinstalling NIS 2011.  (At least none so far. It's been four days.)
