One more thing...
The Activity Map is pointless. Threats constantly pour in from all over the world. NIS must keep them at bay.
Again, use of too much eye candy.
Rant ended.

Hi there!
One Symantec employee has spent two days now to check all logs and error messages on my computer.
I hope it will solve the problem for everyone!

When I click on Settings it takes upwards of 5 seconds to display.

Yes for me too. Sometimes up to 8 seconds. This is so frustrating.

I wholeheartedly agree about the slowness compared to 2011. I also used the Removal Tool to downgrade. Until there is an update to address this, I'm staying with 2011.

Ditto here, installed 2012 upgrade and computer would hang after 5 or 6 web pages. Used Removal Tool and reinstalled twice, same problem. Emailed Norton for instructions to reinstall 2011, they responded within 24 hrs as promised, and now the computer runs like a bullet again with 2011. This is on a year old PC; my old dell laptop with XP seems to do okay with 2012 so far.

Hi all!
I have now the gratifying news that Norton solved the problem of "Seetings" and they have tested the solution on my computer today - before it is unleashed. It worked great and I want to express my warm thanks to Stefan on the Swedish support which has made a fantastic job! The update will probably be released publicly soon.![]()
