I've had contact with pieterV and am now in fairly regular contact with one of his colleagues. I've run a few tests with a logging program they provided and am sending various log files and screenshots for them to examine.
As I said, it's 'early days' and information gathering rather than solutions so far- but let's give them some time to think and see what suggestions / solutions emerge. I'll post back here as soon as there is anything worth reporting.
