Okay, good. Using the native uninstaller followed by the NRT will give the cleanest program removal. When you used the native uninstaller, do you remember which option you selected?
One last question. If you use Identity Safe, did you save a backup copy of your ID Safe Data?

I tried to run Norton Removal tool.
It says its going to remove every norton product on the machine.. I use Norton Ghost.
Why do i need to remove Nortons one product to Install another?? I have never seen a more dump idea than this..
Any other ideas? If not i will kiss norton good bye and go with something else..
Let me know if you guys have some work around?

Yes, that is a disadvantage when using the Norton Removal Tool and there is no workaround for that.
Since you use Norton Ghost, can you go back to an image just prior to uninstalling NIS 2011?
If so I would recommend installing NIS 2012 directly over top of NIS 2011. The easiest procedure would be to open the NIS 2011 Main UI, go to Support > New Version Check. This will start the process of updating you to NIS 2012.

I cant go back at this point of time and do install over 2011.
I still cant beleive, their own products have problem co-existing and need to be un-installed to install the new one.
I am going with McAfee now
