How come I am stuck on 18.104.22.168 when LiveUpdate indicated it downloaded a rebootless patch? It applied the patch, closed applications and said "Explore" when it was done. When I clicked "Explore" it opened up NIS.
But I am stuck on 22.214.171.124 instead of 20.2.x.x

Applied this patch this morning, still on 126.96.36.199.
To receive the update, simply run LiveUpdate and download the update. A reboot will be required. - No reboot for me.
Reboot and still
Corrected an issue that caused a delay in loading the Norton Tray Icon. NOT CORRECTED!

Verified on PC #2 Dell XPS 8500 running Win 7 Ultimate; no reboot; icon still slow to load then loads with red X. PC#1 is Dell XPS laptop 17 3D.
I have 48 pc's to check when I'm back in the office on Monday.

Please read the announcement : the distribution is in principle a 3 step phased operation :
1. Make the (English version!) of the patch available for a limited amount of hours and then follow up by Symantec
2. After conformation that it runs well at customers who could install it in the timeframe above, make (still English version) the patch generally available
3. In due time (mostly around 5 days) : make the Non-Engelish versions generally available
So patience is a virtue !
The patch update process itself is basically a two step process, where first off most of the files in the patch are downloaded already through Liveupdate.
After general release (of your language version) a second part of the patch is downloaded and a reboot initiated, which then 'switches' to the new version.
So...if you are still on 188.8.131.52, then the second part of the patch isn't already available to you and you certainly do not have the improvements yet.
Again : Patience is a real virtue !
I think this phased distribution is good thing, as you do not want the patch to cripple your Norton product (more).

Just to report my computer, windows 7 sp1 64bit, received the patch. applied the patch and it did not ask for a reboot. I restarted the computer anyway and I am still on 184.108.40.206 also the tray icon still takes 60 seconds to show.
Sorry I did not know this was a phased-in patch. I must have received the first phase of the patch.

Dutch version will come later.
Well I am not Dutch so...
Any who sorry for the confusion. I opened the forum and read the most recent announcement after getting 220.127.116.11. When I saw 20.2.x.x I figured I should be on it.
I will wait. I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't a mess up.
Totally missed this too;
"Some of you may receive an update via LiveUpdate, but your version remains at 20.1. This is normal, and part of the phased deployment."
