Sorry if this is all somewhat confusing. I'm used to working with forums where I can attach screen shots to illustrate situations where I dont fully understand the terminology. You don't seem to have this option here.

Hi durdle,

You can attach screenshots by clicking on the Insert/edit image icon at the top of the reply editor. Please see the post below for more details.

Note that it takes some time for screenshots to be viewable by the community at large as they must be approved by a moderator first.

Thanks, Allen; I tried putting your advice to work but, when I attempted to use .jpeg attachments, I was advised that only .txt, .log or .lue extensions were valid. these don't seem to be available to me. I'll keep trying though as I've just realised I didn't use the little tree icon you showed in your post.

PS I see how to edit posts in these forums but how do I delete one, please?

PPS:  delete is not an option. It confuses too many things that depend on the numbers assigned to each message. Sorry.:smileywink:

Thanks again. I reckon I've cracked attachments now. Simples :smileyvery-happy:

From our 2012 products, the appearence of the infobars are changed. It would appear like a black bar with optiions like the one you saw for the fill form. The identity safe icon will still be available in the toolbar like the one earlier. Safeweb,Safe search & identity safe icons will still be available.

Fill form infobar should be appearing for all the form pages, if you have any issues, please use the "Report Issue" option available under the Identity safe drop down from the toolbar. That will notify the issues to us and we will be attending to it.

What I'm seeing now when I first load up IE9 is what I've always seen in the past, ie before I started this thread.

Then, when I bring up a login screen or a fillable form, I get the second layout.

This second layout is, as I say, absolutely new to me today even though I've been running IE9 since last year and NIS 2.19 for several weeks. Is it just what I should expect?

Hi durdle,

Happy that you have the attachments down. :smileyhappy:

The screenshots you posted are normal and is the "new look" with NIS 2012. The old style pop-up  which we had with ID Safe and 2011 and earlier have been replaced with the look you see now.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Allen

Re: NIS 22012 Identity Safe issues

Hi Johno,

As i told earlier, this new change was bought in our 2012 product and its not because of the changes in IE 9.

Just click on Login in the infobar which is presented to you and to make yourself logged into your profile and then check if the form page gets filled in.

Re: NIS 22012 Identity Safe issues

Hi, Allen and Presanna

The Fill Form info bar makes all the difference here. It seems strange to me that it didn't show on IE9 until I launched Firefox (I'm currently on v10.01 by the way), which then prompted me to disable its internal page filler, which action then kick started IE9 into displaying the info bar as and when intended.

This just leaves me with the two issues of the relatively few passwords which don't autofill and my perceived short time interval before I'm bounced out of my Identity Safe profile (vault?). Neither of these is a show stopper, so I'll mark this thread as solved and come back if I'm proved wrong.

Thanks again.

Re: NIS 22012 Identity Safe issues

I acted too soon. Identity Safe seems pretty reliable at entering login details but it's hopeless at filling in forms. I can fill in one form OK using the info bar but, if I immediately follow up by presenting another form, the info bar correctly shows Fill Form (6) but this changes to Fill Form (0) as soon as I click on it . Since this thread is marked as Solved. I'll open up a new thread later today (hopefully).

Hi johno,

You can move the thread back to the unresolved state by going to the post you marked solved, then click on Options and then Not the Solution.

Best wishes.

Re: NIS 22012 Identity Safe issues

[ Edited ]

Thanks, Allen, for yet again hauling me up by my bootstraps :smileyhappy:: I'll continue with my latest issue here.

Identity Safe issue 2 (Durdle)

---------------------------------------

As previously reported here, I now see the Fill Form info bar when I first present a fillable form to IE9 and it always correctly indicates that I have 6 cards set up (ie it shows Fill Forms (6)). If I then click on the (6), I get a drop down list showing all six cards. Clicking on the appropriate card fills in the form and I can submit it with no problems. So far so good.

If I now select the same form again via my IE9 favourites drop down list, I see the same Fill Form info bar, complete with the correct Fill Forms (6). This time, however, if I click on the (6), it immediately changes to (0) and I get a drop down showing <none>. Further, if I then click on the Identity Safe drop down button in my Norton tool bar, it shows all my logins but no cards.

If I refresh my newly loaded form, however, clicking on (6) in the Form Fill info bar again shows a drop down with all six cards and I can again select one and submit the form. All further submissions of this same form also require a refresh before they will work.

As far as I can make out, Firefox only allows one bite at the same form, whether by IE9 or by Firefox itself, but I have yet to establish how to recover from this; the refresh route does not seem to work here (it does if I return to IE9).

I'm wondering if Identity Safe is possibly not designed to handle multiple submissions of the same fillable form (in my case, while making more than one entry to an online competition.)
