Hi

You might have recieved the FF 5 compatibility update to your product. The product version will not change for this update, but it will request you to reboot the system.

Please read the below post from Tim,

I have had 2 updates in the past week that required a reboot in my NAV 2011, The version is the same as before.

I do not have FF.

Could intrusion engine and/or other updates ask for a reboot??

Hello KLR

I believe everyone is getting this update even though we don't have or use FireFox and it does say a reboot is required. Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

Updates to Norton products for different browser versions support happens even if you have not installed FF.

And please do not worry if you get an update with " Require Reboot " option, without the product version getting updated. Since updates to support new browser versions can become effective only after a syalready  loaded system memory refresh.

I too was required to do a restart this morning and was hoping this meant  that Chrome support had made the jump from the Norton beta to the Norton Proper, it didn't, and it hasn't.

It was not the FF 5 fix. Got that a long time ago. And I also got a program update this morning.

It didn't for me with NIS 2011 either, not on Windows 7. Windows 7 is better at updating system files without needing a reboot than XP.
