Re: NIS & NAV 2009 16.5.0.134 Update Roll Call

Apparently Norton doesn't care all that much about paying customers concerns. This is really sad and stupid. If the update isn't ready then don't release it, if it is release it to everyone! There is no way to justify this ignorance!

Re: NIS & NAV 2009 16.5.0.134 Update Roll Call

Western Canada here still on 16.2. I'm a little anxious to get 16.5 as there's a possibility it "may" fix the Outlook 2007 retrieval error that I 'm getting with 16.2.

Re: NIS & NAV 2009 16.5.0.134 Update Roll Call

Here in Central Florida, I installed NIS 16.2 on two PCs recently, on the same day.  One PC updated to 16.5 almost immediately, the other is still waiting - over two weeks later.

Come on, stop being a bunch of impatient kids. If symantec ruined the 16.5 update then give them some space to fix it.

Remember that new big updates come with new features, bug fixes and most of the time new bugs as well :).

Give them a week or two and they will probably release a 16.6 version lol :D.

I thank you all for your replies.

Let us keep this thread going and updated, meaning whom ever has originally replied in it, please let us know back in this thread if and when you have actually received your 16.5 update.

For the people that have not received the 16.5 update as of yet, please state so as per my post in this thread starter

As I am well aware of Norton Internet Security 2009 / Norton AntiVirus 2009 Update (16.5) patch is being distributed in a controlled manner.

And that some may not receive this update as quickly as others, it is only a matter of interest to me as to which subscribers in what countries are actually receiving the (16.5) Update Patch prior to others.

Please sound off in this thread with your post stating if you have received the above mentioned and include the country that you are located in, no other information need be posted.

Thank you

Re: NIS & NAV 2009 16.5.0.134 Update Roll Call

Canada - West Coast - Got 16.5 on the second day after release. Manually used Live update and there it was.

I wonder if just waiting and not using Live Update manually may be the delay for some??
