Hi huwyngr,

I believe you are correct that LiveUpdate is required for other Norton products and that should be clarified.

Uninstalling Live Update and Live Update Notifier should only be performed by users who are installing NIS 2009 and have no other Norton product which they intend to run in conjunction with NIS 2009.

Norton LiveUpdate is needed for Products like N.SW. and Ghost, e.t.c., because you will get Updates for them.

I would suggest un-installing LU., install N.I.S. 2009 and then re-install LU. - if needed - to avoid problems with LU. and N.LU..

Re: NIS09

I installed NIS09 and I am (expletive) impressed. It's incredibly fast. The scans are also much quicker. Normally it would take maybe 5 hours for NIS08 to finish scanning my computer. It took less than an hour with 09, and it didn't stick my computer's feet into concrete either. There's too many new features and improved features to list that I am impressed with. Good job Symantec. You certainly gained a customer back. :smileyhappy:
