HI,
I bought a new laptop few days ago with Win7 Home Premium x64 installed by factory default and come with NIS2011 pre-installed. However, when I first started to boot my computer I got a 3043,1 error from NIS2011 and unable to turn on the sonar and intrustion detection. I try returning the computer to factory default setup but still the same error occure. What should I do?

Hello jch02140 and welcome!
For the 3043,1 error, please run Live Update until you get the message: "Norton LiveUpdate finished - No updates found".
You can refer to this Symantec KB article.
Let us know how you do.
Norton 360 • Norton Internet Security • Norton Zone | XP SP3 • Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64

Hi Phil,
I have run the Live Update and it update the product. I restart the product and run Live Update again and there are no more updates. Then I press the "Fix Now" within the NIS2011 interface but I am still getting the Sonar and intrustion detection unable to fix error after restart... Since it is a brand new laptop... I have not install anything yet...
Best Regards,

Okay, the next step in the KB article is to uninstall and re-install the Norton Product.
However, before proceeding with that,

Hi,
1. The version of NIS2011 installed is: 18.5.0.125
2. There are 45 days remaining in my subscription
3. I don't have a product key for this pre-installed NIS2011. Could it be a limitation for OEM version?
Thanks.

The OEM version should be a fully functioning product although a key may not be included.
I do not want to risk losing your remaining 45 days by suggesting the uninstall / reinstall procedure.
Instead, please contact Customer Support via Instant Online Chat at this link.
Be sure to inform them this is a pre-installed OEM version.
