I am having problems with identity safe working with my credit card sites as well as my bank sites. Not all of them are the two page logins that seem to be the major problem. Also, several sites will not auto fill with my credit card info. I have to manually type the info in. They worked with 2011 with no issues! So much for protection from a keylogger. I submitted a "report issue" the day after I upgraded from 2011 to 2012 when the ID safe did not work correctly. That was months ago and still nothing! I would not hold your breath for a quick resolution.

Log In (manually) to BoA was OK this morning but they must have been having internal problems since all my running balances were showing as 0 !
Luckily there was a !!!!!! note at the top of the page saying "Well at least the final balance on the summary page should be OK"
It got better later .....

There have been some parts of ID safe which had design changes in 2012. As a result I don't know if the same fix as was applied in 2011 and earlier can be directly applied to 2012 - I suspect not.

My two cents worth.

Allen,
In trying to add my two cents worth to yours...
I beg to disagree... Actually, 2012 worked flawlessly till the day 19.5 came along! As you well know, the issue had been resolved somehow by Symantec's programmers and there was no signs of the issue before we started applying this last upgrade. So, whatever it is and for whatever reason, it is definitely something that resurfaced with the 19.5 version of 2012, and not before...
And yes, we all look forward for an early resolution. Patiently. No bad feelings...

Hi Lin Yu,
Please don't take my comments the wrong way. I completely undertsand and agree that new problems surfaced with the 19.5 upgrade.
But in general two page logins have been a recurring theme show with ID safe even with 2011 and before. Some two page logins worked - some did not and others did not work 100% or were somewhat inconsistent in their behavior.
The only thing I was trying to point out is that ID safe did have some parts redesigned with 2012 and so "some" of the issues which were resolved in 2011 began to have problems again with 2012. If you look through the threads here you will see quite a few complaints of ID safe not working as well as it did in 2011. These complaints started since shortly after 2012 was released last fall.
Again, I absolutely agree that 19.5 broke some things which were working with 19.2 including issues with 2 page logins but there were quite a few problems reported since well before that. Unfortunately it looks like some of the reported ID safe issues which were resolved with 19.5 also broke some previously working scenarios. ![]()
For what it's worth, BofA in particular has never to my knowledge worked 100% correctly even with 2011. Most people would not notice it because they have only one account in a single ID safe vault. For me I have 3 accounts with BofA using the same ID safe vault and ID safe does not fill in username correctly and it also fills in the same password on the password page, regardless of which account you are actually trying to log into. For this reason I have the passwords set the same. Also another problem reported before 19.5 was that when modifying Payees ID safe would fill in boxes on the "Modify Payee" screen with things like password and/or username, making it difficult to modify payees without temporarily turning off ID Safe.
Best wishes.
Allen

Hi Allen,
I said I begged to disagree... I'm sorry if I upset you. I didn't mean to be rude.
I did appreciate the time you took to fully address the issue and for detailing your point of view in your polite and constructive manner, as usual. Thank you for that. Seriously.
This said, I must add that I hope you understand my comments were made in good faith, by a user of Norton's products for the last few decades and this alone, I believe, speaks for itself.
And like I said: I look forward for an early resolution. Patiently. No bad feelings. And I'm not joking.
Thanks for your time.

I am also having problems with my 2 bank log-ins since the update. One of them is a username/password, the other a username/security number/password
The first works if I open the log-in link first. Then it will fill correctly. If I log-in directly from Identity Safe, it appears to take me to another link on the bank site and give me an error. I have to delete the password field and then fill the filed from the toolbar.
The second bank only fills the username now, where it used to fill username and password, leaving me to fill the security number.
I did use the Report Issue from Identity Safe a week ago, but had no feedback up until now

Hi Lin Yu,
You did not upset me in the least and you certainly were not rude and I apologize if anything I said led you to believe that I was upset.
And I certainly do agree that 19.5 introduced some new issues with ID safe.
All the best,
Allen

I have NIS2012 on my lap top but Identity Safe will not enter logins. I am running Windows Vista. I have had two chat sessions without resolving the problem. It works perfectly on my PC running windows 7. Can you help please.

Hi,
Can you please elaborate your issue?
Not filling in the sense? What is the browser you are using? Is the norton toolbar enabled in that browser? Are you logged into your profile already?

Browser Internet Explorer logged into identity safe and will not enter logins for banks details and also when log in has been put in fpr other web sites will not work until I remove password and re-enter. I have tried editing the log ins and to enter the username and password afresh but will not work. It worked perfectly with NIS2011 but I have had a new hard drive and installed NIS2012 and it will not work despite having had two chat sessions.
