Required a Restart (Vista 64) to behave.

Hi Diatom,
What problem did you have which prompted the restart?
I too had problems when I got home from work and ID safe would not fill in any website at all, then after the restart it worked normally again. Was this the same problem you saw?
I have asked Symantec if this WAX update should have prompted for a restart and didn't or if this was just some sort of anomaly.
Thanks and best wishes.

Sole issue was failure of updated NIS-IDS to detect/fill-in the 2-page bank logins until machine restarted.
NIS repeatedly insisted up-to-date, but on restart called +1 update before successful test.

Hi Diatom,
Thanks, much appreciate the information. ![]()
At the point where you saw that issue did previously working websites work with ID safe before you restarted the computer? Which update was received after you restarted, just before your two page logins started working?
Best wishes.

The thing silently updates in the background - immediately prior to shutdown I observed 3 updates, none of which contained the "WAX" name. Those updates & all prior left NIS-IDS behaving as it has for the past week - silent on 2-page bank logins, otherwise OK. On restart NIS-LUD performed a trivial update which I recall as typically named, again no mention of "WAX". Launched FireFox, worked like a charm on 2-page bank logins for the first time since current version released.

It's working fine here, too. I was not aware of the solution until this morning when I got the news. Tried my Bank of America login and it filled the field, so... Thanks to all who worked one way or another to the happy ending!....
Cheers.

Okay tried yoour login but no luck. What is interesting is that if I go to the USAA log in page before starting the NIS login ID feature,
https://www.usaa.com/inet/ent_logon/Logon,
I am triggered / prompted to enter my password to get the LOGIN ID started. So NIS does recognize it as a log in page. I enter my password for NIS login ID but then it doesn't fill in the USAA login ID or password fields.
The feature works fine though on my older XP computer with NIS - same USAA login as shown above. So a little more work required I'm afraid.

Working again for me now - thanks everyone at Symantec.

MIne still doesn't work. Have not had the WAX update, although have tried to update several times, including a reboot.
As mentioned before, a log-in directly from Identity Safe appears to take me one step too far. On the screen is username/password then log-in button. Below this is another square with "Login with digital Cared" which appears to be activated, instead of the square above.
Only the username is filled by the second bank
