Re: I am still waiting...

[ Edited ]

All,

Good news! We're making some progress with this issue. I was personally able to reproduce this issue on my home and office computers after going through many different scenarios based off of all of the information on this thread. I don't think I've ever been so happy to see an error popup. :smileyhappy:

Since I was able to reproduce the issue, this means that all the information that the Engineers would need to research the cause of the problem and figure out the proper solution would be available through those computers.

Of course, this only applies if the issue I had is the exact same issue everyone else is having. However, the fact that I was able to reproduce this issue the exact same way on two completely different hardware configurations is very promising. The issue mostly stems from having a lot (over 120) entries in Program Control. I see the hang and then eventual crash occur after clicking "Configure" next to Program Control. The Program Control window never actually comes up for me. Like many others here, the crash shows that it's related to SymHTML.DLL in the Event Viewer.

Now that we're able to see what's going on, we'll work hard to get this issue fixed as soon as we can. It's important to note that we not only have to research and correct the issue, but that we'll also have to thoroughly test to make sure that it works properly and doesn't introduce any other issues.

I don't have an ETA for when this will be fixed, but believe me that we're taking this issue very seriously and want it fixed as soon as we possibly can.

Cheers,

Re: I am still waiting...

It's good news indeed for all of us here. Especially, knowing that many of us here are not the only ones seeing the flying saucer or the ghost. There might be light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: I am still waiting...

Hello jmason,

Don't worry, I've got all the fuel I need to make sure that light at the end of the tunnel doesn't go out and only get's brighter. Let's just hope it's not the flying saucer beaming us up! :smileyhappy:

Awesome! Oddly, that makes me really happy to hear! I'll be even more happy when this issue is resolved. We're getting somewhere now. :smileyhappy:

Re: I am still waiting...

Here is hoping it addresses the issue in N360 6.0 as well.
