I've had Norton Antivirus for nine or more years and had the screensaver for the same time, but for some reason my Norton antivirus removed it last week as a threat...   and when I purchased it from the vendor last week and tried to download it Norton blocked it.

Go to History>quarantine to see if the file that was removed is still there.  If you click on it, and then more details, you may be able to restore it and tell Norton to "ignore" it.

Thank you for such a quick response...   I did as you instructed and it worked except I didn't see "ignore" listed anywhere, just restore...   but for now it's working...   just as it had been for the last nine years...   any idea why it deleted it after such a long time?...   and could this be a recurring problem?

It could recur.  I would suggest adding the file to scan and auto-protect exclusions to keep it from being apprehended again.
