Hello,
After months of my website being functional, the website is still showing as untested. I have tried to prove the website is my own to submit for testing, but my web developer keeps running into some sort of problem. Another internet security provider (i won't name who) has recently tested our website, but Norton still have not. I would really like somebody to help me with this problem, as we really need our website tested soon.
Is there any other way to prove the website as my own and then submit for testing? For information, our website has not yet been tested and has been live for about 6 months.
Thanks,
Charles Noakes

Hello noakesc
Welcome to the Norton Community Forum
Can you please tell us the name of the website? Are you also saying that you are having a problem getting your ownership verified? Thanks.

Hello noakesc,
Did you click the "Rate my site" link after you verified the site?

Hello Tim
I think the O/P of this thread is in need of some help first to prove ownership before it can have the site rated. I think he needs some help with the procedure to have the tags placed correctly and then perhaps manually verified if necessary.
I have tried to prove the website is my own to submit for testing, but my web developer keeps running into some sort of problem
It sounds like to me that he can't do it the way it is supposed to be done.
Is there any other way to prove the website as my own and then submit for testing?
Don't think he can click on "Rate my site" yet.

Hello Charles,
In checking your source code, I do not see any reference to the Safe Web Authentication code. If you are having difficulty in uploading the nortonsw HTML file or adding the meta tag, allow me to suggest this.
An alternate method to verify ownership is to add the Norton Safe Web authentication code to your keywords tag which I see you have in place.
Use your site building program to edit your keywords. Copy and paste just the authentication code from your email registration, (the 128 character alphanumeric code) into your keywords tag on your main page. Be sure it is separated from the other entries with a comma.
Example: ....Vivienne Westwood, Yves Saint Lauren, Zegna Intenso, 1234-abcd-5678....(your unique 128 character code)
(Norton SW File Content is highlighted in blue text for this example)
Although this method will not allow for the automated verification, it should assist the Safe Web team in manually verifying your site.
Let me know when you have completed this step and I will check that the code is properly located.

Hi
Your site ownership has been manually verified and your site 'maisonparfum.co.uk' has been submitted for analysis. Note that the initial evaluation process may take up to two weeks to complete.
