Anyone have any thoughts as to a solution ?

It's a .Net Framwork 4 assembly that should run something, but is causing an issue. Is there any info in your event viewer under system or applications that might provide some detail on what app uses it?

I have seen several references on this forum to .NET issues vis-à-vis Norton products. Do you know where one can find more details about how .NET is used by Symantec, and which version(s) of .NET have to be up-to-date in order to support Symantec products?
On my PC (Windows XP) I have the following versions of .NET installed, but I do not know why they are installed or what they are designed to do. Are the .NET updates handled automatically by Windows Update, or does the user have to explicitly request a download of the relevant updates?
HP-Mini 110 -1020NR (netbook) 2GB RAM, CPU N270 @1.60GHz, Windows XP Home, SP3, NIS 2011 188.8.131.52 (installed 12h00 GMT 18-JUL-11) , FF5,IE8

Usually the .NET Framework updates are supplied through Microsoft Update. I have found that installing them is best done in order. Quite often the service packs don't show up on MS update if there is a problem with the original .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 2 etc.
It is difficult to say whether there is a problem with the .NET Framework 4, or whether there is a defect in how the framework is used. My technical knowledge only goes so far as Google.
If the same type of error was found coming from the Temp folder, it would seem to be an indication of Zeroaccess, from other threads on the forum. In this case, it is coming from where it should be.
There is a .NET Support page here:
I have the same .NET files on my XP Pro sp 3 work machine and have had no problems running 2011. Since we are having a few MySql issues, I have not upgraded to 2012.
