My PC is Xp SP3. yesterday night i kept the pc on as NIS was downloading and was to be installed. In the morning i saw a new user by name piress has been created. I am just wondering what is it. can some one guide.

Where were you downloading NIS from? What version were you trying to download?
If a new user has been created, I would wait for Quads to look in on this thread. Do not run any scans on your own or Quads will not be able to help you.

As I see you are being helped in the Emsisoft forum, Quads would not touch your system.

All malware help sites insist on starting with one helper and staying with that source until a solution is found. Looking for help in other places at the same time will only confuse everyone, and you will probably not find a solution.

Notice the fun Combofix is having, also looks like something of 3 Realtime AV products (one trying to install) and maybe parts of also 2 others.

Yes sir i have sought help there and will stay there till the solution is found. However you can keep a track of this issue as i find similar problem being reported some where also. Ultimatel goal is to curtail any severe malware. if you can work out any solution that can prevent any future problem to some other user.

I have downloaded the NIS through download manager from my norton account and the version is Version: 20.2.0.19
