Nis 2009 V 16.7.2.10

After all the dramas, of uninstalling, and reinstalling NIS 2009, I have reverted to V 16.1.0.33. Will I be able to update from that version, when this problem is finally fixed ?, rather than reinstalling  16.5, or do I wait for the 16.7 final build? Thanks, Geoff Hickling

Run liveupdate manually on a daily basis and it should update.

Ok mdt, thanks for heads up. I'll try that, and see if it plays nice. I am so sick of uninstalling/reinstalling,and at least V 16.1 is behaving. I don't want a repeat of the 16.7 debacle.......

Re: Nis 2009 V 16.7.2.10

The question is:  what does it 'update' to?  NIS 16.7.2.10 again?  This I do not want.  After 'upgrading' to 16.7.2.10 from my stable 16.5.0.135 without knowing (apparently done via live update) and getting all the same problems/crashes as everyone else,  I am now back to NIS 2008 installed from my original NIS disk.  I am frankly afraid to download the update out of concern it will revert back to 16.7.2.10 along with all of its problems.  That is one nightmare I don't want to relive.

Hi Huntress

The original patch was pulled and a new patch will be released shortly that will not have the issues you experienced so it should be safe to go back to that build of NIS2009. The patch will be delivered via liveupdate.

NAV and NIS 2010 should release in the not too distant future and, if you have a valid subscription to your current NIS, you can upgrade for free.

Re: Nis 2009 V 16.7.2.10

thanks for the reply mdturner--I just finished downloading the update and am pleased to report aside from one minor glitch (same one I dealt with in the past of having to manually open NIS2009 via a run command) I am now back to 16.5.0.135. So far so good....

Ok, well it's been a week, or so, and I'm still sitting on V 16.1.0.33. No sign of it updating to V !6.5. Is it ever likely to, or am I going to have to download !6.5 AGAIN !

NIS 2009 Version 16.7 Problem still happening. Refer previous thread.

Hi, all. Just in case my previous thread is not updated, I was advised that my V16.1 would update automatically, using Live Update. This has not happened. What is the latest thought, on this problem. I do not want to have to downlaod 16.5, again if I don't have to. Any advice is appreciated. Geoff Hickling
