To my knowledge, the 2008.5 updates will NOT be coming down through LiveUpdate. You should receive all of the critical fixes, never-the-less via LiveUpdate automatically. Users "should" receive notification that a newer version is available with instructions for how to update but I have no idea when that is/was.
