Have you checked out the settings in the Adobe Flash Player manager? There are a ton of settings in that manager. Take a look at those settings and see if anything in there could be blocking the flash player. If it was a problem with NIS, there would be others here complaining about it also.

No sound with Adobe Flashplayer or Adobe Flashplayer no sound or Flashplayer 10 no sound ... etc.
seems like there is lots of info related to this issue...

Tried Adobe Mgr & could find no problems...tried search...........now trying forums in Windows & Adobe since Norton's forums haven't found a solution yet.

When you uninstalled Adobe Flash Player, did you use the latest uninstaller, available here?:

Yes...It was Uninstaller v 10.1 r82........ I also rebooted after installing before reinstalling & rebooting again.

FIXED!!!! Don't know exactly what did it but I ran Uniblue PowerSuite (program recommended by Microsoft); Registry Booster, SpeedUpMyPC, & DriverScanner. I let it fix all recommended fixes & rebooted. After that it works............. Guess I should trust Microsoft..lol
