Hi Ronald,
When you use Outlook's "Block Sender " / "Never Block Sender" options, outlook adds the address concerned to its Blocked Senders List / Safe Senders List respectively. As long as you have a supported Outlook Version, any address that you add to the Blocked Senders List in Outlook will be added to Norton AntiSpam's Blocked List periodically. Likewise, those addresses that are in Outlook's safe sender's list will be added to Norton AntiSpam's Allowed List. This way, Outlook and Norton AntiSpam identifies the safe and blocked senders in the same way without any contradictions.
And to talk about Outlook's own Junk Email Filter, Norton's and Outlook's decision on identifying spams based on the mails' contents are independent of each other. Irrespective of whether Outlook identifies a mail as spam/clean mail, Norton's filters will process every mail that the user receives. Hope this answers your questions. Thanks.

All my problems went away once I reverted to a 32 bit version of MS Office 2010 :D

Adding another detail to the previous post (since this thread is specific to Outlook 2010):
In case of Outlook 2010 (32-bit), Norton AntiSpam does not import addresses from safe senders/ blocked senders but, it only imports those uncategorized addresses that are available in the outlook address book. So any address that you add to your Outlook's address book has to be added to Norton's Allowed List. And for those in Outlook Blocked Sender's list, you have to manually add them to Norton's Blocked List so as to let Outlook 2010 and Norton Antispam identify the spammers in unison. Thanks.

I guess they didn't like that much because that link doesn't work anymore. I've been a Norton user since back in the 90's and have never used anything else and I know that OE is on it's last legs but that's not the issue. Not responding to your customers is. I got used to getting a spam email flipping them off with the icon. It now really pisses me off to look up and now see it not there. This may be the last time I renew if they can't do a better job of responding to our questions.

My norton anti spam plays games. First it's there, and then it's gone. I have tried their support. That's a joke. They have to study the problem and of coarse, they always blame the consumer's computer. I went into another forum and there were page after page after another pages, many of them with the same problem I'm having. And norton says they have to study the problem. They are so full of it that I really don't want any more of their crap. I am done with them. I have used AVG before and I was happy with that. I may try Kaspersky to check that out. It has to be better than norton and their lack of support.

You summed it up perfectly. You would think at least someone would respond to say that they are looking into the problem, but they don't even do that. I am gonna attempt to revert back to 2011 version and then cancel in 80 days. Poor customer support will cost them in the long run!

This seems to be an issue for some but not others. As my backup only has outlook express and has no issues, but my main computer differs .Since its a minor issue it seems that Symantec does not care. Its no problem for some as they went elsewhere and some like me just went back to 2011.
The fact is how can you trust your computer to a program that is malfunctioning?, Until my subscription is about over I will stay with 2011 that not only worked but I trusted it. Then elsewhere I go.
I still have my first norton disks when it was norton ( peter norton ) and not Symantec which will tell you how long Ive been hear.
And to say I know that with the new malware out there programs need to change to keep up but there were many others with problems but they now have there issues fixed insted of ignoring.

I have the same problem and have had the problem re-occur since Norton Internet Security 2012 was issued. I don't have a solution and am getting sick-and-tired of the lack of support of this product. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for whatever help or resource you might be able to provide.
