I tried to call Norton yesterday to get an understanding of what NAV 2009 is doing and unfortunately I got no help other than to contact their virus department. Here is my question. Norton Antivirus 2009 detected around 10 viruses on my computer yesterday. Some were deleted, some resolved, and others said it needed a restart. After restarting, I went into NAV 2009 to look at the recent history tab and it showed all the approximately 10 viruses it detected. Now under the "status" tab it listed some as deleted more than half listed processing. When I called Norton to find out what the processing status meant, I was unable to get much help. Are these viruses whose status is listed as "processing" resolved or is there some other action I need to take to delete these?
Thank you so much in advance for the help.

Hello MS109,
They may have been submitted to Symantec for analyzing. I would check back in the next couple days and see what the status says. Are all 10 of the viruses in the Quarantine section? If so, then you should be protected.

Hello MS1090,
The status shouldn't change on these files now. Some detected threats are variants of other types of threats, and we have the software submit them for processing so that we can improve our protection. It looks like you have nothing to worry about!
