Looks like i'm having a similar issue. The odd thing that i've noticed is that once I reach the desktop, a window opens that says NAV 2009 is initializing. That stays for several minutes and then changes to a NAV 2009 window that gives two different uninstall options. This all happens on it's own, I have yet to click anything. I then have about minute before the system freezes. If SpySweeper is the culprit. How do I go about uninstalling it? And, what about anything SpySweep has in Quarantine? What happens to that stuff once I remove SpySweeper? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I. Boot your windows in safe mode
By the start up press F8, and a boot menu will show up for you, where you can choose between normal and safe mode. Choose safe mode, and when your PC is up, uninstall the other software.
Or when the one before not worked, here's a way to disable everything (unless microsoft services):
II. Startup your computer in a 'clean boot'
Manual steps to perform a clean boot in Windows XP

2. Click to clear the Process SYSTEM.INI File check box.
3. Click to clear the Process WIN.INI File check box.
4. Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
5. Click the Services tab.
6. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
7. Click Disable All, and then click OK..
8. When you are prompted, click Restart to restart the computer.
Step 3
1. Log on to Windows.
2. When you receive the following message, click to select the Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows start check box, and then click OK
Step 4
Uninstall your software
