I installed Norton Antivirus 2010 on my 4 year old laptop last week which crashed and will cost too much to repair therefore I now have a new laptop. Is it possible to use the same product key/license for my new laptop? It's only a 1 user license but it seems hardly fair that I didn't even get a week out of the product and that I'd have to buy a new subscription,,.. I've tried entering the product key but it says it's invalid.
Can anyone help?

Hello saint_emma
Welcome to the Norton Users Discussion Forum.
You can contact customer support via the free chat program and tell them what has happened. They should be able to adjust your activation so you will be able to use it on the new computer.

This is the link for US/Can. If you need a different location, please consult your local Symantec site for the local free chat customer support link.
Please come back and let us know how you made out. Thanks.

I hope that you have bought your Norton from a legitimate reseller/company and not from a "cheater".
As you have been advised you can contact Norton support so that they will fix the issue for you . It would be easier for you to contact them without installing anything addition using the built-in option in the Norton program .
Just open Norton , click Help&Support , then Get Support
