Well The Title Says The Problem I Am Having. What happens is that i start up the computer and norton says a update file is corrupted and when i go in safe mode and run a scan it says Norton Antivirus has encountered an internal program error. Error Code: 0x8007045A. 3038:104 Anyone know how to fix it?

A few more details would be helpful. What is your operating system and service pack level? What version of Norton, under Help & Support>about, have you got? Has NAV been installed for a while, or is this a new installation?

So this computer is running windows vista sp1, on a del inspiron 1520 laptop with 1 gb of ram with 100gb free on the hard drive, the product i am using is norton antivirus 2010 for 1year

Please check your version number under Help & support > about. There have been several antivirus engine updates for 2010 already. You may have one that didn't install correctly.

Hello imsoadude,
You could try running Intelligent Updater from this link.
If you are running Vista 32 bit, click on the first item: 20100606-003-v5i32.exe
(this is the current set - the name will change on a daily basis)
If you are running Vista 64 bit version, you will have to scroll further down the page to "64-bit Platforms"
Let us know if that works for you.
