Re: Norton Claims eBay Is A Fraudulent Website

I cannot speak for you since I do not know what software you are running and when you last received an update.  I guess everyone here must be doing something wrong and you are doing something right.  Becuase you are not having any trouble doesn't mean everyone else isn't.  Even though it might say newbie to the side of my name, I've been doing this for a long time.

Re: Norton Claims eBay Is A Fraudulent Website

I am having the same issue. I am an eBay powerseller and this is costing time. My time is money. Hay idiots at Norton want issue me a credit for the money I am losing right now. I am about 10 minutes from removing your product all together and going with a competitors product. Get it together!!!!!

Websafe Conflict

I am getting the following warning when I visit this site but it has the "Norton Secure" and tick image and "OK" in a green box when it shows in a google search.  In other words, the two conflict.  Any Comments?

Hi holgate,

"Shortly" means the fix has already been posted on LiveUpdate and we're now waiting for it to propagate across servers. Once I verify it's live for the majority of users I'll post instructions on how to download it.

Re: Norton Claims eBay Is A Fraudulent Website

We have two computers and we access eBay several times a day.  Both of us are having this problem and it just started today.  It occurs when you do a search and when you try to access an individual listing from your My eBay Summary page.  Very frustrating if you have an auction ending!!

Re: Norton Claims eBay Is A Fraudulent Website

Being a software developer for a large finanical company which performs a lot of testing, I understand how these problems can occur.  I am sure that is wasn't malicious on Symantec's part.  Mistakes will happen.  I am sure that there is a developer and tester somewhere who feels like dying now because of this problem.

I am more afraid of being attacked by a malcious site than concerned of not being able to access eBay for a few hours.  If your computer is attacked, you can lose personal information possibly resulting in identity theft.  Also, if your computer is infected, you may have to wipe it out and lose your data.  Most people don't realize how easy this can happen and why you need security software running at all times.  If you were to disable security software in my company, you could probably be fired because they are so concerned about software infections and being attacked.  I am grateful that Symantec Internet Security has not allowed attacks on my computer for many years.

I think Symantec should be graded on how fast they can turn this fix around.  Also, I would hope that their testers add eBay checks to their automated testing so something like this doesn't occur again.

Re: Norton Claims eBay Is A Fraudulent Website

I'm having the same problem. What is your estimated time for FIX?

I am a seller on Ebay & I need access to search for product prices. This is not just annoying but it's costing me time & money.

Also, why don't you have a customer service telephone #?

Please fix ASAP. Thanks.
