Norton download insight deletes the our files downloaded from the internet. We have a deployment mechanism which updates dlls and exes from Internet when users visit and login to our web application. Till last week, the Norton Insight showed "<File name> needs attention" , but worked perfectly. All of a sudden it started deleting the files saying that "Threat detected " . I dont know why?

All these files are signed using third party certificate. But then also these files are deleting. No other firewalls or security tools are finding these files as a threat.

Do anyone know, how a user can prevent this ? Or how a user can create a whitelist of files on his machine?

Hi Reachroy,

You can actaully select those files and exclude them to scan them in future so that it won't be removed.

If you want you can submit them to Norton to make them whitelisted.

Can you tell the procedure to submitt our files to Norton to get them whiteliste. I alreday submitted the websites to norton and they are OK now. But still the files are deleting after downloading
