Norton Installation Files Desktop Shortcut - Can it be deleted?

After upgrading from NIS11 to NIS12 my desktop has a shortcut called Norton Installation Files.  Can I delete the shortcut and the files?  Is there any reason not to?

No reason to keep it. Feel free to delete it.

If you ever need to reinstall you can just download it from the website.

Milka's answer is correct. You can remove that folder.

Prior to deleting it, please make sure that NIS 2012 is listed as a download in your online account.
