Since today afternoon Norton IS 2010 has not been updating automatically due to some unknown reason but surprisingly it seems to update manually without any issues. Really do not undertstand what is going on and I am on Windows 7 RTM currently. Did not have any problems previously AT all till today afternoon. Help will be highly welcomed in this respect.

This exact same problem was reported by me in both 2010 and 2009 issue earlier, and there is no positive response on this by symantec.

There may be possiblity of server problem of symantec LU servers at ur place, but if it doesn't get corrected follow below steps. 

Only 2 possible solutions for this problems are there:

1. Don't update norton for 2 days and then download intelligent updater file and install it, then after few hours do a manual live update.

    This procedure fixed this problem in 2009 version.

2. If step 1 doesn't correct the problem, don't panic, just keep updating it manually, within 15 days ur comp will start getting pulse updates automatically, without any fixed.

  Worked for me 2 times in 2010 version and also in 2009 when i formatted my pc.
