Do I need to remove Norton Internet Security 2011 before installing 2012?

Hi williamjones3rd,
You should not have to remove NIS11. First, backup your Identity Safe data. Instuctions are here. - https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp
Easiest way to go is open NIS and click Support > Check For New Version. Then just follow the prompts. Remember to run Live Update, rebooting as required, ntil you are up to date.
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks, Dave.

Hello williamjones3rd
If you are having any sort of problem with NIS 2011, then I would recommend the removal of NIS 2011 first before you install NIS 2012. If you are having a problem, then I would recommend this method. First though, please backup your identity safe file.
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.
