Hello,
I have a problem on my desktop PC relating to NIS 12's toolbar. The toolbar is not working correctly; when I click on 'Still not working?' nothing happens; when I restart the browser nothing happens. Can someone help me...
Here are some details about the PC:
Norton Internet Security 2012 - 19.2.0.10
Safeweb/Browser Protection: ON
Up-to-date
Main product working fine, just the toolbar issue. I've ran malware scans; everything is malware-free.
Windows Vista Business - 32-Bit
Windows: Up-to-date
Internet Explorer 9 - 9.0.8112.16421 - Update: 9.0.4
BTW I have attatched a picture which shows everything...

Hi ShinOrochiX,
Have you installed any other security product or any browser protection software on your machine. If yes, please uninstall that product and check the behavior again?
Thanks,
Senthil

Hello
I do not have any real-time based security product installed apart from Norton, I have Malwarebytes' Antimalware (Free). The only product I do have that initialises with my browser is SpywareBlaster. I've had SpywareBlaster for many years a along with Norton and I've had no problems, I doubt it's SpywareBlaster causing the problem but I will check.
Thanks.

Hi ShinOrachix,
Thanks for the update.
Can you try the following options,
Install FF9 and check the Norton toolbar behavior?, This will help us to know where the problem is with IE or NIS
Can you check the behavior after turning OFF/ON for Antiphishing,Norton Safeweb,Browser Protection?
Your screen shot shows(mentioned below) you have some other toolbar, Could you please let us know what is that, If possible can you disable that tool bar and check the behavior?
Thanks,
Senthil.

Hello
I finally found a fix for the issue! As well as my NIS toolbar; IE's SmartScreen Filter as well as some other stuff also stopped working (randomly-I didn't even install any new programs) so I thought the best thing to do would be to fully factory reset IE. So I did that and tweaked the settings to my preference and everything was working fine, including NIS toolbar.![]()
I didn't install Firefox as I thought it would be irrelevant, but anyway from the issues it seemed that it can only be an IE issue. My laptop running Windows 7 with Firefox was fine. Anyway the problem is fixed now and all is fine, thanks for the help anyway guys.
